DISABLED STEAMER
THE ORUNGAL IN FORT. (United Press Association—-By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) SYDNEY, Dec. 3. The disabled steamer O run gal reached port and will dock to-night. GEAR WHEEL STRIPPED. Received 11 a.m. t-cPday. SYDNEY, Dec. 4. The steamer Orimgal will be laid up for three months- until a new -main gear wheel for -the -turbines) arrives from England. The gear wheel was stripped. It is the first time that such a -mishap has -occurred in Australia!. There was- no panic among the passengers when the breakdown -occurred. NORWICH CITY PROBABLY- A TOTAL LOSS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 4. The Secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department has received the following advice concerning the Norwich City: “The Tron-gotc and the Lincoln City arrived at Gardner Island at 7 a.m .to-day, when the ere-w was sighted on -the beach. The vessel will probably be a total loss.”
