COMMISSION TO MAKE INQUIRIES.

(By Telegrapn—Press Association.) WANGANUI, Nov. 18. The Minister of Mines (Hon. W. A. Veiteh), referring to the Lint'on colliery disaster, stated that after the inquest was completed, he proposed, irrespective of the finding, to recommend Cabinet to set up a Royal Commission in terms of the Commission of Inquiry Act, 1908 j in order to ascertain the cause of the disaster and inquire fully into circumstances surrounding the accident and make recommendations considered necessary to prevent a recurrence.
