SPEEDWAY ACCIDENT.

NEW ZEALANDER KILLED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 11.30 a.m. to-day. BRISBANE, Nov. 18. Jack Arnott, one of the most popular and capable track riders, was killed instantly m a crash at Davis Park speedway. Arnott was thrown clear of the track, and two other riders managed to avoid him. A third, however, after a frantic effort to step, crashed into Arnott’s prostrate form. Arnott was a native of New Zealand, where he won numerous championships, and he also held several Australian records. He was 34 years of age and leaves a widow and children in New Zealand.
