POLA UNHAPPY.
WANTS DIVORCE ALREADY. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) PARIS, Nov. 16. Clad in black from head to foot, Pola Negri broke down and wept copiously in the arms of newspaper men at Le Havre, where she disembarked from America. Between sobs she said, “It is sad to return to a land where the only happiness is to await divorce, but thank God divorce exists.”
There was another outburst of grief, then, “I loved Serge greatly and still do.” Pola then assumed a dramatic attitude, and, facing the newspaper men, she hissed, “All selfish; take everything; give nothing.’’ Still sobbing, Pola entered an expensive motor-car and drove off. Prince Serge was under no illusions. When questioned lie said, “I expect a divorce shortly; the sooner the better-”
