SENTENCED TO SIX MONTHS’ GAOL

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 16. At the Police Court Allan Gordon W attain, formerly a storekeeper m charge of a Harbour Board shed, appeared for sentence on six charges of theft of liquor, silk and other goods and was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment on one charge. Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., said that it was a sad case, accused having been married only two years. Probation was out of the question, for AVattam had not only betrayed liis. trust to the hoard, but also to the country, which had made him a special constable.
