SOUTH TARANAKI QUOTA. There was an animated scene at the Haw-era railway station this morning at 7.30 o’clock, when the special train for New Plymouth .arrived., andi the. Girl. Guides from Patea, Alton and Mokoia Aver© joined by the Hawera Rangers, Guide® and Brownies, and the Manaia Guides. Quite a number of parents and friends accompanied the excursion, which Ava® to pick up the I'tham and Stratford Guides at their respective stations. The Kaponga Guides joined the train at Eiltham. o\'er 220 joined the train at Ha.Ayera, including a full complement of Guide and; BroAvni© officers, who AA’ere distributed throughout the train. On arrival at the New Plymouth Station the southern Guides were to be met by the. Noav Plymouth Guides, and, accompanied by a band, were to march to the racecourse, where the first, 'provincial rally Avas to open at 2 o. m.
