GOLF.
HAWERA LADLES’ CLUB. The Hawera Ladies’ Gollf Club will close their 1929 season on Tuesday next. The first competition of the day will he a senior -and junior bogey match beginning at 9.30 a.m. The senior competition will be for handicaps up. to 30. and the junior 31 to 36 and nonhandicap players. Afternoon events will consist of approaching and) putting, driving and continuous putting, after which the president will present the trophies won during the season. It is hoped all members will l>e present, and a, welcome is assured all members of neighbouring clubs.
