OBJECTION TO BREWERY.

PROCESSION OF WOMEN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 5. Eighty women marched this morning'from the Baptist Church at Otahuihu to the new brewery at Otahuliu, on which a license was recently granted. The procession was preceded by a gathering in the church of over 109 women and’ men, offering a prayer for the success of their mission.. The leader of the procession was Mrs Lee Gowie. who carried a blue flag with a red cross in one corner. .The followers wore the bine ribbon and white flower, emblematic of the W.C.T.U. Crowds on the footpath passed remarks, sympathetic and otherwise, while workmen on one building cilieerer them lustily. Abreast of the brewery the procession knelt and Mrs. Lee Gowie offered up a prayer, asking God to convert the brewery; into either a flour mill, a milk factory or a church.

The proceedings were otherwise bane •of unusual incident.
