Mr Grover Whalen, while extolling Mr Walker’s Mayoral regime, declared that New York was the worlds safest city. . , Curio sly an economic survey had iust been issued which stated that human life in the metropolis is now menaced to a greater degree than ever before. There were 16 times as many murders committed in New York as there were in London, and only one murderer in every 160 was executed.
