SINO-SOVIET CONFLICT.
CHINA DESIRES PEACEFUL SETTLEMENT. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) LONDON, Sept. 4. A Geneva message says that during a general discussion in the Assembly of the League of Nations this morning Dr. Chau Chu Wu, the chief Chinese delegate and Chinese Minister _ in Washington, referring to the SinoSoviet conflict, declared that although China claimed that she was not responsible for the dispute, she was prepared to use all tlie* means which the Kellogg Pact provided to secure peaceful settlement.
