A. CHRISTCHURCH INCIDENT

CHRISTCHURCH Sept. 5. Set upon by two men whom lie surprised while attempting to enter his shop at the corner of Barrington and Soinerfield Streets, on Tuesday evening, F. Good- fought valiantly to hold them, while he called for assistance, but the men were too strong, and in the end Good was left dazed by a kick in the neck, while the two men made for safety. The would-be thieves had not been able to make an entry. Good is considerably the worse for iiis experience, ais he i_s covered from head to feet with bruises. Detectives visited the scene yesterday and took finger prints.
