A business woman, who, in. view of personal attacks made on other critics, preferred her name to be kept from publication, describes conditions on the voyage of the .Orama, on which she was ■■ a. passenger. The woman states that among a. large number of female migrants destined for domestic service- in Australia there were about 50 whose conduct would pollute any Australian home. They were .bereft of all ideas of decency. She declared that -they appeared on. deck and around the cabins with almost no clothing, and often they were found ironing clothes clad only in trunks, while stewards walked in and out of the cabins .attending to their, duties.
