PERSONAL ITEMS.
The funeral of the late Mrs J. E. Well® took wlaoe at the Manaiai cemetery yesterday aftenioon, (and was largely attended by friends and (sympathisers of the bereavedl family. A service was oondhieted at her ltate residence by the Rev. Mr Miller, who also conducted the' service at th l ?. graveside’. The- following were the pall-bearers:— Messrs A. G. Bennett, V. Hobday, W. Auton, E. Long, S. Blair, J. A. Hansen . An Australian Frees. Association message from Sydney states that Amekdeacon J. S. Moyes, of Adelaide, has been elected Bishop of Armidiale in succession _to Dr. Wentworth Shields, who has resigned that office. Mr. G. W. Marshall, from thirty applicants from all over the Dominion, has been appointed manager of the Waitohu dairy factory. _ Mr. Marshall is at present first assistant at the Opunake dairy factory, states a Press Association message from Blenheim.
