FIRE AT TURAKINA
: tiv IViejjrapn —rrejis Absooiatum. ’ M A ETON, Aug. 19. The Railway Hotel at Turakina was gutted by fire at six o’clock this morning. The occupants -had a narrow escape. A bucket brigade did good work, but the task was hopeless from the outset. A car in the adjoining garage was removed safely. Particulars of the insurances are unavailable. The building was of a single storey, built of wood, and was situated close to the railway station. No damage was done to the latter.
