COMMUNIST BANK.
WORKERS’ SAVINGS DISAPPEAR. (Australian Press Association —United Service.) PARIS, Aug. 16. Deposits amounting; to £200,000, the savings, of hard-working but gullible people influenced by Communist propaganda, are reported to be missing from a workers’ and .peasants’, bank institution, founded at Paris, by BoOsbevik leaders, ostensibly to prevent workers being fleeced by capitalist bankers, reports the correspondent of the Lonlon “Daily Mail.” A magistrate and accountants, escorted by 150 police, visited the premises with the manager and: found only £540 in cash. The bank has been charged with breaches of the law. Many deposits were entered in the names of Communist leaders, which are alleged to be fictitious.
