i HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY. ■ A meeting of the Nonnanby Horticultural Society was held last night, about 10 members being present. It was decided to completely revise the schedule for the forthcoming show. The meeting went into the question of revaluing the building, plant and stock, and it was considered that the .society was in a sound position. It was decided to plant a hoxthorn fence on the northern boundary of the society’s property. LA DIES’ COM MITT K E FOR MED. Last week a largely attended meeting of ladies was held in the Horticultural Hall, when a strong committee was formed to assist in the working of the horticultural show. Mrs A. E. Spratt was in the chair, and Mrs T. j. Allan was appointed secretary.] The following ladies were put on the 'j committee: Mesdames Gane, T. Linn, J. Linn, McAsey, Archbold, Antrobus, Davidson, Evans, Tippett, Franklyn and Coxhead. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mrs Archhold for her past services as secretary and the good work she has done for the show. It was decided to provide supper for the euchre and dance to he held on Friday evening in aid of iho show funds.
