ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
WOMAN" SERIOUSLY INJURED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 11. Mrs Bernard, aged between 00 and 70, stepping off a safety zone in Queen Street at midday on- Saturday, was caught between two trains and sustained a. compound fracture of the left- leg. She was taken to hospital, hut has not regained consciousness, and her condition is critical.
OAR CRASHES INTO* ROCK. PAHIATUA. Ausr. 13. A labourer named Kenneth Sch.la.gor was admitedi to boswtail suffering from injuries as the, result of ai car accident ait Konini. The steering gear failed and the car left the rioiad and crashed into a rock.
