EUCHRE AND PING-PONG
The weekly euchre and ping-pong tournaments at Riverjea, were held oil Tuesday when, in spite of counter attraction s', there was a> very fair attendance. The ladies’ euchre prize, a hand bag. was won by Miss Myrtle Symes. of Auroa. after a play-off with. Mrs Rothe. each having won seven games. The men’s prize, a, pocket toilet outfit, was won by Mr J. Gibson, with nine games out of ten. The ping pong tournament again provided some keenly contested games, and in this the winners were Miss O’Neill, with Miss Symos, as runnerup for the ladies’ prize, whilst the gentlemen’g prize went to Mr Ray Symies. of Auroa., with Mr Shepherd as runner-up.
