lionst whale has been introduced to Liverpool, and is being served in substantial steaks. Edible whale retails at the low price of from 3d to 6d a lb. It tastes, it is said, when roasted, not unlike salt beef. Fresh whale flesh is the staple meat diet of almost all Japan. It is also shipped from the island of Harris, Scotland, to the Congo in a pickled state.
