Quality sheep were in firm demand at today’s sale of British breeds and Corriedales. Two of Mr. T. S. Little’s Border Leicesters (Otago) made 70 and 75 guineas respeeti.vlev, but top price was SO guineas, secured by Mr. W. 0. .Rennie (Canterbury) for a ram. Three others of the same consignment averaged 42 guineas. T’ollowing are the New Zealand lots, all Border Ceieester.s: On account of T. Little. Otago, eight rams totalled £394 16s, averaging £49 7s. His seven ewes totalled £137 11s, averaging £l9 13s. On account of the Canterbury Agricultural College, New Zealand, three rams totalled £37 16s. On account of the estate of D. Macfarlane, Amuri, New Zealand, eleven rams totalled £176 lbs Gd, averaging £l6' Is 7d l On account of \\ . O. Rennie, Canterbury, three rams totalled £126. One stud ewe and five hock ewes totalled £36 15s. On account of John Nixon, Canterbury, twenty-six rams totalled £l5O 13s (id. averaging £4 15s 9d. His twelve ewes made £SO 9s, and his thirty selected Leicester ram lambs sold at 4i guineas each. On account of Donald Grant, Timaiu, twelve rams totalled £244 2s 6d, averaging £2() 6s lOd.
