The organisers have arrangements well in Hand, and no stone has been left unturned to ensure the success of the appeal. Souvenir badges will be on isale, and few citizens wi‘l be able to escape from the young ladies without visible evidence that they have contributed. A “copper trail” will be laid in High Street-, and pennies will .be solicited from passers-by. For the boys there whl be a “bicycle paper chase,” and this should' prove popular. Various guessing competitions will be 'held, and for these are. being offered prizes ranging from a. pair of silk pyjamas to a fat- sheep. The fun parlour will he in a shop on the main street near the corner of Princes- Street, and this should be thronged during the day. The mock court- should provide any amount of fun, and any citizen of good repute is likely to be seized and brought before the justices, there to make a contribution to t-lie Piunket funds. The: work of the Piunket Society is too widely known throughout New Zealand to need any description,, and it is hoped that 'the public’s response tomorrow will be such as to obviate the necessity for any further appeals locallly during the next year.
