Sir Walter Lee, ex-Premier and Treasurer of the Tasmanian Government, arrived by the Ma.n-uka- to-day for the purpose of conferring with the New Zealand Government on matters connected with the portfolios- of Lands, Works-, Agriculture- - and Forestry;, which he now holds. “There is one thing which I want to see re-established,,'” he said, “and that i-s the- -sbiiu-n-ing service- between Hobart and the Bluff. It woulld, I am sure, be to the distinct advantage of uis both.” Mr F. E. Ward, Tasmania’s Director of Agriculture, accompanies Sir Walter Lee. He came from) the New Zealand Agricultural Department-. Sir Wail ter Lee says that he dels! res to gain a knowledge of New Zealand’s adinittedlv progressive- methods in agriculture. and -also afforestation methods. The Hon. D. H. Drumomnd. Minister of Education in New South Wales, ailso arrived to-day. His principal official business is to investigate the New Zealand -system for the control of delinquent children, including the Borstal system, which has not yet been attempted in New South Wales.
