PERSONAL ITEMS.

The death occurred at New Plymouth mi Monday of Mr F. Moorliouse, one of the original members of the Tourist Department’s staff and for many years conservator of fish and game at Rotorua. Mr Moorliouse was an expert in the handling of trout and was the official escort to the Duke and Duchess of York while on a fishing excursion, at Tokaanu during their tour of the Dominion. He was known to practically every overseas angler who has visited Rotorua and Taupo in recent years. He is survived by one daughter (Mrs J. Leggett, of New Plymouth), and one son. who lives In Auckland. The death has occurred in America of Mr Philip Newbury, a tenor vocalist who was for many years resident in New Zealand.
