(From Our Own Correspondent.) SEVEN.-A-SIDB FOOTBALL, Mucli interest is being manifested in the seven-a-side football tournament to be field in May. An energetic committee. headed by Mr M. Comerford, is working assidiously to' make the tournament a success. Several medals and a valuable cup have been donated for competition. The fixture will be an annual one. The bell birds have returned to their old haunts in the lucerne trees at the sctiool after an absence of four months, it would be interesting to know where they have been during their absence. The hall committee are endeavouring to make this year’s entertainments better and brighter than ever, and with such a good floor and excellent music patrons are assured of an enjoyable time. Hedges are receiving their annual I clipping and the appearance of the countryside is very pleasing. A few evenings ago an improvised band played several selections before the residence of a newly married couple. Needless to say their efforts were rewarded with plenty of good cheer. Dahlias have flowered continuously since Christmas and good blooms can yet be picked. The year has been very favourable for all kinds of flowers. Cosmos are non* blooming, but the late heavy gales damaged several plants. PERSONAL. Mr M. Hale lias been spending a few days with his daughter, Mrs F. Robinson at the sohool-liouse.
