VISIT TO QUEBEC. SHIELD PRESENTATION (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) (Austialuin Press Association.) QUEBEC, April 8. The young Australians and New Zealanders concluded their programme here after four days’ constant attention by the Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs. they were then the guests of the Provincial Government at luncheon. . By order of the Prime Minister, the Hon L A. Taschereuu, the tourists were given full freedom of the Legislative Assembly Chamber, where they occupied members’ seats and conducted a, brief Parliamentary session. They made, a pilgrimage to the Heights of Abraham, Quebec Bridge, the ancient citadel and other points of interest, where they were given brief descriptive lectures. , They witnessed the production of maple syrup from the tree to, the final process. The visitors were delighted with the winter sports in fine weathei. The Government presented the group with a shield, hearing the arms ol the Quebec province, and a bronze placque commemorating the diamond jubilee ox tbo confederation of Canada.
