CYCLING.
KAPONGA TRACK RACES. On Saturday last the Kaponga Cycle! Club was favoured with good entries tor a series of track races on V ictoria Park, Kaponga, which resulted as follow : Half-mile (limit 140yds).—D. Coleman (120yds) i, L. S. Gargan (40yds) 2, E. Stockman (40yds) 3. One mile (limit 200yds).—A. Schicker. (200yds) i, E. Stockman. (60yds) 2, R. Hosie (i2oyds) 3. . Two miles (limit 300yds).—E. Stockman and E. Aroa, each, off the scratch mark, dead-heated for first place, with L. S.’ Gargan, also scratch, in third place. This event provided a fine fin- v ish, the scratch men getting together in the straight.
