J There were only 2592 New Zealand entries, compared with South Africa s l 12,500. Canada won 234 medals for in- j i dividual scores of over 9/ and. Australia j J Hamilton (Canada) won the Imperial i Challenge Shield with an average of < i 99.21. Australia has 11 in the honours ■list, the best being R. AN R Launceston, sixth with 95.28, R.A.N.R. Fremantle, nineteenth with 90.32. New Zealand has eight honours the best being D Company, Fourth Auckland Regiment, fifty-third with 82.2. _ The report expresses disappointment, at Australia’s failure to qualify, also the decline in the New Zealand entries.
