The Florence correspondent of the “Observer” states that in a special interview Sir Austen Chamberlain, Biitish Foreign Minister, said both Signor Mussolini and himself hoped from the labours of me reparations experts a solution such as all the interested Rowers could accept. If their hopes were realised another great -step towards normal conditions would become possible. * Asked his opinion of Italy s new Parliament, he said he could not see the same kind of experiment successful in England. He did not think that the Fascism system would endanger the peace. “Mussolini was a. big man,” said Sir Austen, “and one who if he gives his word keeps it. He is direct to deal with, and I like him.”
