YEARLINGS AT SYDNEY YEW ZEALANDER PAYS TOP PRICE. (United Press Association— By Electric telegraph Copyright.) (Australian rress Association—United Service.) Received 10.00 a.m. to - cloy. SYDNEY, April 3. At the opening of the yearling sales at Kandwick the bidding was qmbt. The top price was 1000 guineas, paid h v the New Zealander, Mr C. Elgar, of \Yairarapa, for a Rossendale-Demcrter e °Th 0 Spearhead-Battery Queen colt, already named Vagabond King, fetched 1350 guineas, going to the Victorian, Mr F Musgrove. Other New Zealand buyers were R. I. Caro, who bought a Polycrates-Black Tea filly for 90 guineas, Eaton Lad-Sidorus gelding for 40 rruineas. Bcaufort-Lady Sindhia colt for 45 guineas. Mr J. W. Cathro purchased a Ilades-Tho Kettle gelding for 00 guineas and a Sir Dighton-Patrine gelding for 50 guineas.
