EGMONT TENNIS SHIELD.
FINALIST TEAMS KAPONGA v. ST. JOSEPH’S. The season’s final tennis match for the Eigmont Shield, contested annually by teams from Eltham, Kaponga and adjacent districts is to be played at- Kaponga on Thursday, the finalists being the shield holders, Kaponga, and St. Joseph’s (Eltham). In the initial competition two seasons ago- the To Ngutu club ream secured the trophy which passed into Ka-| ponga’s possession last season. Botli the Kaponga and St. Joseph’s teams are capable of bright exhibitions- of tno o-ame and Thursday’s match is expected to produce play oi a keeniy iuterestin<r standard. The match is to commence at 12.30 p.m. The teams are as follow : St. Joseph’s. Ladies.—Miss Cooper, Mrs Grenfell, Miss S. Walslic. Mrs Nodder, Mrs Haswell, and Miss Ruscoe. Men. —Morrison, Carey, Ha swell, Stockman, Nodder, and Grenfell. Kaponga. Ladies. —Mrs Freeman, Mrs Bolger, Mrs Camtaloup, Mrs Gray, Mrs Gibson., and Miss Anderson Men.— McGregor, McCarthy, Bolger T Hammers lev, B. Hammersley, and R. Hill.
