TRIBUTE FROM UNITED STATES ambassador. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 27.. The United States Ambassador in London, Mr Alanson Houghton, who is relinquishing his post, paid a warm tribute to Great Britain in a speecn made in London last night on the eve of his return to America. He spoke of the “Deep and fervent patriotism, sense of justice, love of freedom and order, instinct for public service, insistence of fair play, and dogged and unconquerable courage’ which, he said, were the qualities of the British character.
