March 16 Following the recent trial of five men on a- charge of having bombed the Greek Club, three men. named Henry Stokes, Norman Mclver and Thomas Ta.ylor have been arrested on a charge of conspiracy in connection with the forthcoming appeals by the men sentenced. Tt is alleged that Stokes, Mclver and Taylor offered a young woman money to swear that the bombing had been done by another man. FATAL BLASTING ACCIDENT. SYDNEY. March 16. A Moss. Vale> message states that J. Westcote was killed and two men named Hodge and Regoni are in a critical condition as a result of a blasting acci- | dent. When the charge failed to explode the men investigated and were J within a few yards when, the charge j went off and they were throwirinto the I air. I i SCHOONER DESTROYED' BY FIRE. SYDNEY. March 16. The fuel tank on the auxiliary schooner Ventura exploded when the vessel was off Cape Hawke. The vessel was soon blazing from end to end. Fortunately the steamer Nirvana sighted the Ventura, and the medical officer from the steamer rendered aid to a man named McMillan who was stunned by the explosion. He was dragged into a dinghy by his brother. The Ventura was abandonee!. TIMBER, WORKERS’ STRIKE!. SYDNEY, March 16. The secretary, of the Timber Merchants’- Association says> that the timber yards are gradually being manned.
