BOY SCOUTS.
SOUTH TARANAKI CAMP. MEETING AT OPUNAKE. A meeting was held in the Town Hall, Opunake, on Thursday in connection with the South Taranaki Easter Scout camp, to be held this year in Opunake. Rev. J. A. E. Preston presided, Messrs Cowie and Hitchcock, of Hawera, were in attendance, and after a general discussion the following appointments were made: Camp commandant, Mr. C. S. Hitchcock; adjutant, Mr. C. Humphries; quartermaster. Mr. T. P. Hu-glison junr.; camp mothers, Mesdames McCullum (convenor), Faulkner, Baird, and Ebbett, with power to add to their number. The camp will be from Thursday afternoon, the 28th inst., until the following Tuesday. It was decided that the camp fee for scouts attending be fixed at ss. There will be from 60 to 80 Scouts in camp, representing Hawera, Normanby, Manaia, Eltham, Mokoia. and Opunake troops. It was decided that the camp be formally opened at 9 a.m. on Friday, 29th inst. Gifts of vegetables, milk, etc., will be welcomed.
