AUROA MUSICAL SOCIETY.

WIND-UP DANCE. A very successful social was lield in the local hall on Wednesday night to wind nn the local musical society. Wood’s orchestra supplied the music, while Mrs Davidson and Messrs Silson and Coxhead played extras. Messrs Dowdle and Kruse acted as M’s.C. (writes a correspondent). The following contributed much appreciated items: Song, Miss Hughes; monologue, Miss King; duet (violin and piano). Messrs Booth and Turner; recitation, Mr Dowdle; pianoforte solo, Mr Booth.

The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss Edwards and Mr Riley, and the spot waltz by Miss Miller and Mr Gargan. Misses King and Hughes donated the prizes.
