HAWERA GYMKHANA.
TO BE HELD ON SHOWGROUNDS,
The Egmont A. and P. Association will held its annual gymkhana on the Hawera Shoivgrounds on Wednesday, March 20. These fixtures have always proved popular and the .programme- arranged for this year should meet with public approval. A steer-riding competition will be held and in addition a junior steer-riding event, open to boys 11 years of age or under, will be staged. The juniors, of course, will ride younger cattle. Athletic and cycling races, Highland events, fire brigade displays, military competitions and pony jumping ore some of the numerous attractions included in this year’s programme. Copies of the programme may bo obtained from the secretary, P.O. Box 148, Hawera.
