In England a seventh of the divorces take place after five yeans of marriage, and more than half after ten or more years. Nearly half of the annulled marriages are childless, and! in a third of the cases there is one child only. Three out of every five divorced persons re-marry, the number of divorced men re-marrying being eonsitl-ora-b v gerater than the number of divorced women. ((By special arrangement. Reuter's World Service, in addition to other special sources of information, is used in the compilation of the overseas intelligence published in this issue, and all rights therein in Australia and New Zealand are reserved.) A VITAL NECESSITY. One of the most important things to remember when a cold or influenza develops is that a laxative medicine is of vital necessity. By cleansing the stomach, liver and bowels, it will help the child to throw off the disease. For this purpose there is no more suitable preparation than Chamberlain's Tablets. They do not add to the distress of the patient by nauseating or griping, but act quickly, naturally and without any unpleasant effect. No homo should ever be without a bottle of Chamberlain’s Tablets on hand for any emergency. Sold everywhere.—Advt.
