On Sunday afternoon two cars came to grief on the Elthani lload not fai from the. Oeo Road intersection, writes our Awatuna correspondent. One car was overtaking the other when apparently the wheels of the former and larger car turned inwards, causing it to mount the other and crash it into the ditch where it is now a wreck. The names of the occupants were not known locally hut it is understood that severe injuries were inflicted upon two or three of the passengers who were attended by Or. Bowell, one lady suffering from a broken collarbone was .taken to an Opunake hospital.
