ELTHAM-TAKAU DOG TRIALS
ALEE TING OF ELTHAAI COAIMITTEE A meeting of the Eltham committee of the Eltham-Takau Dog Trial Club was held at Eltham last night. Those present were: Messrs L. Nairn (chair), T. B. Crump, S. Norris, W. Ricketts, and G. W. Peebles (secretary). An apology was received from the Alayor (Mr I J. Bridger) and Mr S. Carson (president of the Eltham Chamber of Commerce). ’ The chairman reported that a conference of delegates representing the various clubs in the North Island will be held next week. It was decided to ask Air 0. A. Wilkinson, M.P., and the Alayor to welcome the delegates a'tten'dincr th e conference. It was decided to ask - the school teachers of the Eltham School to arrange a school swimming sports in aid of the club’s funds., The arrangement concerning the transport of children to the trials at Alangamingi was left in the hands of Mr S. Norris. Messrs Crump and Nairn were appointed to interview the Eltham Public and Convent School authorities concerning tne attendance of the bigger boys of the schools at the trials.
