CONTRACTS FOR LOCOMOTIVES
FOR, SOUTH AFRICAN RAILWAYS. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) , (Australian Press Association.) Received 11.55 a.m. to-day. CAPETOWN, Feb. 21. Glasgow manufacturers have secured an order for thirteen locomotives' for the South African railways, the locomotives costing £7622 each; A German firm secured a contract for thirteen similar locomotives costing £6700, and the American firm of Baldwin’s six at £6696 and four at £7272.
