If the plans of motor mauufateurers throughout the world mature iu 1929 the industry will become the greatest in the world. Production' programmes and sales policies have been revolutionised and the total output is expected to reach 5,800,000 vehicles valued at £870,000,000. The United .States of America expects to produce 5,000,000 in 1929, France 230,000, Canada 2150,000, Italy 70,000 and Britain 250,000. The resulttant competition is expected to lead to a great reduction in prices.
