FOUL PLAY SUSPECTED.
CAR DRIVER, DISAPPEARS. BLOOD-STAINED CLOTHING FOUND. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) MELBOURNE, Jan. 29. Deep mystery is associated with the discovery of a deserted car near Donnynrook, 29 miles from Melbourne, on the Sydney road. The car belonged to Leslie Williams, an electrical engineer of Goulburn, New South Wales, who has disappeared. but blood-stained clothing, including pants and underpants, boots and socks, food scraps and half a bottle of wine were found in the car, which a fortnight before had been stolen and discovered at Fawkner, outside Melbourne. williams went to Melbourne to retrieve the car and was apparently on iiis way back when either he was the victim of foul play or he committed suicide. He is a son of a stipendiary magistrate.
