The Victorian Importers' Association has decided to await replies to inquiries regarding shipping ireights sent by tiie Prime Minister (.the Rt. Hon. S. M. Uruce) to the Australian and New .Zealand Merchants’ Association in London .before, tailing further action.
Private cables received in Ale 1 bourne indicate that the proposed increases apply to cargo from .Britain to Australia only. A reply received from London indicates that the freights are in respect to outward cargo only.
