The weirdest of many weird things at am* exhibition of the works of Satva. Botzaris, a Serbo-Greek sculptor, is one representing Bernard Shaw. “Shaw in *plus fours or astride a charger is unthinkable 1 ; he wonts a symbol, so I maidie him ai totem pole, ’ ’ said Botzaris. The result is something akin to, the pillar of a 1 Maori hut surmounted try carefully parted hair, beetling eyebrows, and a few wisps of whiskers. A wag suggested at the first glance*. “It’s* Lot’s wife.”
Shaw suspends* judgment till he has seen the caricature. “I think a totem pole is a good idea, because: I appear to bs* a. totem to a 'good many people. I only hope Botzaris ha*s made it tolerably good. ’ ’
