Having told’ friends that he expected trouble when he got hack, Richard Dovers, aged 33, was shot dead at the gate of liis fatHef-iil-law’s- house, Woody Point. The father-in-law lias been "arrested and charged with murder. Dever’s wife had gone to her father’s house, and Dcvens followed. During an argument a. gun was produced. It was alleged that both men struggled for possession. An explosion followed, and Devers fell to the ground shot in the neck.
