MOTH PLANES.
ALLOCATION TO AERO CLUBS. (By Telegraph—Presn Association.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 29. A deputation headed by Mr .T. A. Fletcher M.P., interviewed the Hon. T. hi. Wilford, Minister of Defence, who promised that the Auckland Aero Club should have one of two Moth planes to be landed in January next, providing that they had a pilot properly qualified and competent ground engineer appointed, both of which stipulations the club undertook to fulfil. The Moth planes, of which eight had been ordered, were due to arrive in the Dominion earlier but it was understood that the adoption of the slotted wings devise had caused some little delay. Of the eight planes, four would be retained by the Government for instructional purposes, two would be handed to the Auckland Club and two to Sockburn. It had been stated that one would go to Blenheim Club, which had received some sort, of preference in the way of Moth planes, but the fact was that the Blen-
heim Club had handed the money for
their machine to the Government. The first thing -was to get their instructor’s course through at Sockhurn.
