The South Wairaiapa trotting meetI ing (second day) opened in dull weather. The track wais heavy and the attendance fair. An inquiry was held to-day in connection with interference in the last race of the first day. R. L. Kearns was fined £3 and severely cautioned for negligent driving and was recommended by the stipendiary steward to make himself conversant with the rules of trotting.
