Wellington, commenced in the Basin Reserve to-day in glorious weather. Otago won the toss and batted first on a perfect wicket. Alloo was caught oil the last ball of McGirr’s first over, with a total of six. At 58, Knight was beautifully taken by James off Henderson. Details of the score were:
