TROTTING.
ALTERATION IN PLACING. (By Telegraph—> re&s Association.) HAMILTON, Dec. 19. The committee has considered a protest lodged by C. G. Leo, of Auckland, against Anselm’s being placed second in the Arisitors’ Handicap at tlio recent trotting meeting ol the Waikato Club. Tlio grounds for the protest were that Anselm had started off 72 yards instead of 84 yards, the horse having been re-handicapped by twelve yards for a dead-beat for first place with Uncle Bert in the Stewards’ Handicap earlier in the day. T. Allen, owner and driver of An-j selm, was fined £5 for starting off thej wrong mark.- Nelson Dillon, driven by Lee, who also owns him, ' was placed second and Nella Dillon third.
