LITTLE OF LOST GROUND REGAINED.
STILL ANXIETY MUST CONTINUE.
Received 10 a.m. to-day. LONDON, Dec. 18. Sir Stanley Hewett, Sir Hugh Rugby and Lord Dawson had one and a half hours’ consultation. The bulletin was regarded as indicating a less favourable condition.
'pile King’s condition la-at evening /showed the fluctuation which occurred in the course of his illness, and Hist ALajesty has now- regained a tittle of the lost ground, it was learned from authoritative sources. It was thought at Buckingham Palace that an unduly pessimistic view was taken of last night’s bulletin. Hi® Majesty maintained' the imoroveinenit till dinner time, when there was a slight setback. It was admitted 1 , however, that anxiety must continue for the next few days. It was announced at the palace at 3 o’clock that the King’,s progress continues.
