Special prizes had been given to the; Hawera High School in commercial classes (most improvement) and in Agriculture by Mrs Coleman, in engineering and home science bv Mrs J. W. J. Harding and in literature form 111. by Mr R. S. Sage. The basket ball shield, which was won by a Hawera High School girls’ team, was the gift of Sir H. Trimble, of Ingiewood. A letter was received 'by the Hawera Borough. Council last evening from Mr C. M. Haggett, oil behalf of the Hawera Hospital Board, thanking the council for testing the ivater meters in connection ■with the.institution. ..
